We partnered with an engineering firm to perform an Endangered Species Assessment so the client could include our findings in their FEMA LOMR application. We conducted a thorough desktop survey, field survey, USFWS agency consultation, reporting, and a memo tailored to their LOMR application.
We conducted presence/absence surveys for the elusive Eastern black rail (EBLRA) in the greater Houston region. We follow the required USFWS call-response survey protocols for these endangered birds. This last survey identified a very vocal group - all chattering with their distinctive kic-kic-kerr calls!
We work with investors and engineering firms to complete jurisdictional delineations. This helps our clients know if wetlands and/or potential regulated Waters of the US are onsite for acquisitions and project design purposes. Our services include sampling, mapping and flagging the wetland boundaries.
Raven Ecology helps oil and gas professionals identify habitat impacts and potential risk associated with well pad activities. This is important for identifying when additional permitting is necessary for regulatory compliance and avoiding endangered species habitat impacts. Our recent survey included determining if critical habitat was present for listed species, such as the dune sagebrush lizard.
We conducted bat acoustic and capture surveys in the Great Basin region. Let Raven Ecology know if you need bat surveys for your projects. We can help you with passive and transect acoustic monitoring, mist net and harp trap surveys, and project compliance.
