Endangered Species Assessment and Ecological Solutions

Jurisdictional Delineation

We collaborate with investors and engineering firms to conduct jurisdictional delineations, ensuring environmental compliance. This process informs our clients about the presence of wetlands and potential regulated Waters of the US on their sites, which is crucial for acquisitions and project design. Our services include wetland surveys, sampling, mapping, and flagging the wetland boundaries.

Sometimes, the maps that state agencies rely on for environmental compliance regarding wetland impacts are inaccurate. For this project, the client needed to undertake remediation efforts but were informed they would have to adhere to stricter criteria due to the wetland identified in their mapping system. We conducted a jurisdictional delineation and demonstrated to the agency that the science pointed to something different - a sand dune! They accepted our data-backed report and map revision, allowing the client to move forward with their project based on standard practices.
